NT: Yunupingu son not guilty of murder
DARWIN, April 18 AAP - The son of Northern Land Council chairman Galarrwuy Yunupinguwas found not guilty today of murder.
But a Northern Territory supreme court jury found Gavin Makuma Yunupingu guilty ofa lesser charge of performing a dangerous act causing death.
He was remanded in custody for sentencing on Friday next week.
Makuma Yunupingu killed a close relative by kicking her in the head at his Arnhem Landhome of Ski Beach on August 9, 2000.
