Warner Bros. International this spring is launching what it hopes will be the first of a series of new satellite- and cable-distributed programing services in foreign markets. The first service will target Latin America and will be marketed by co-owned HBO Ole, which has an equity interest in the service. At a press conference last week, WBI executives said they would create and execute the program strategy while HBO Ole markets the service to potential cable system customers and sells the advertising for the basic cable service.
